96 POINTS – Wine Enthusiast (Editor’s Choice)
Gilles Nicault, who oversees the Long Shadows portfolio, makes this pure Cabernet. If this had a Napa Valley label on it, it could sell for three times the price. The structure is full and fleshy, but with the vividly bright fruit that screams Washington State. Juicy acidity underscores the berries, cherries and plums; the generously applied new oak adds texture and layers of caramel, coconut and chocolate. A bottle that belongs with Washington’s (and California’s) best. ~ Paul Gregutt
93 POINTS – Wine Spectator
Polished, generous and seductive, offering a lovely mouthful of blackberry, plum and mineral flavors. Hints at herbs and spices as the finish wraps up with a deft balance. This has power and grace. Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2017. ~ Harvey Steiman
